Just days after the divorce news, now new reports claim that Brad Pitt is being investigated after he got "verbally abusive" and "physical" with his children on a private jet. Sources familiar with the situation said that the alleged episode triggered Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce.

According to TMZ, Pitt along with Jolie and their children were on a private jet last Wednesday when he allegedly got "wasted" and then "went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids." Pitt continued to scream even after the jet landed and later he tried leaving the scene in one of the fuel trucks.

A witness on the plane or at the runway is believed to have informed LAPD and LA County Department of Children and Family Services about the incident. Pitt and Jolie are said to have been interviewed as a part of the investigation, TMZ reported. Authorities are also planning to talk to their children about the incident.

A source close to the actor has denied the reports and said that people are presenting him in the negative light. "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children," the source said, adding, "It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light."

On Tuesday, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt citing "irreconcilable differences" and requested the judge for the physical custody of their six children—Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
