At a time when Google's newest Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS update is yet to hit some of the big consumer technology brands such as Motorola and Samsung, it now seems that other smartphone brands known exclusively for their budget phone offerings would get the Android Nougat treatment before the biggies. The latest in line is ZUK, whose parent company is Lenovo.

Now, as per new reports that go as far as quoting ZUK CEO Chang Chen, rollout of Android Nougat is seemingly confirmed for ZUK Z2 handsets which are driven by Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system. At this juncture, it is worth noting that ZUK Z2 is a recent release.

Therefore, users of the Lenovo-owned ZUK Z2 are advised to check their phones for new Android Nougat notifications and let us know if your smartphones were treated to Google's newest OS firmware. However, the latest reports only mention about rollout of Android Nougat to ZUK Z2, but fail to give hints about the exact rollout date.

Also, it is unknown at this juncture if Android Nougat would seed to the other ZUK offering; the ZUK Z2 Pro. Nonetheless, it should not take long for this rollout to occur considering the fact that Nougat for ZUK Z2 is now imminent. Hence, users of this smartphone can keep their eyes and ears open.
