Sony is finally getting ready to roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to some of its devices. Sony Mobile UK has revealed on its Twitter page that the firmware will be released to the Xperia Z3+, the Xperia Z5 series and the Xperia Z4 Tablet very soon.

Sony's revelation comes a few days after the Japanese electronics giant reportedly released the firmware to the Xperia Z5 in Turkey. The company has also released the software concept beta programme to the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, giving a clear hint that it could be released soon.

Sony Mobile UK (via XperiaBlog) has now revealed the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update schedule for some of its devices. While responding to a query on Twitter, the company said that the firmware will be rolled out to the Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z series -- Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium – on 7 March. It added that update timings will be made public when it is ready for a roll out. 

The Japanese company has confirmed that the update will be released to a dozen of its devices like Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia C4.

The company has also confirmed that the Xperia M4 Aqua, which didn't get Android 5.1 Lollipop update last year, will receive the new firmware.
