Bangalore based smartphone maker, Karbonn has launched two Android KitKat powered budget handsets - Smart A11 Star and Smart A12 Star in India.

Both the entry-level phones – Karbonn Smart A11 Star and A12 Star pack same specifications sans the screen size. They house Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, 1.2GHz MediaTek dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB).

Priced just under ₹4,500, Karbonn devices also boasts of 5.0-megapixel main camera with LED flash, a secondary camera for video chatting and a 1,400 mAh battery which can power the phone for close to 250 hours under standby mode. On connectivity front, they support 3G network , dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, EDGE/GPRS, micro-USB v2.0 and A-GPS for navigation.

Competition:

Karbonn Smart A11 Star and Smart A12 Star are said (courtesy, NDTV) to be exclusively made available at online store, Flipkart for ₹4,490 and ₹4,090 respectively. They will be competing with the popular MNC brand, Motorola Moto E and a slew of domestic rivals - Micromax (three devices- Canvas Unite 2, Entice A105, Engage A091), Lava (Iris X1), Xolo (Q600s), Celkon (Campus A35K) and its own sibling Karbonn Titanium S99.
