HTC has rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to a couple of devices, like the One M8 Dual SIM and One M9, and more devices are expected to follow, but users of the Desire Eye devices may have to wait for months to get the firmware.

Popular leakster @LlabTooFeR has tweeted that HTC Desire Eye will get the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with Sense 7.0, but not in the near future.

HTC Desire Eye, which is currently running Android Lollipop with Sense 6.0 UI, will reportedly skip the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and get the new 6.0.1 version directly.
