It's been close to a month since Google released the v5.1.1 Lollipop to Nexus devices (unlocked), now the new firmware has been rolled out to the AT&T carrier variant Motorola Nexus 6 in the US.

Technology blog Android Authority has confirmed that the new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop (with build number: LMY47Z) has been deployed to the AT&T carrier model Nexus 6 (XT1103).

The new update is minor firmware weighing just 81MB in size. It brings stability improvements and disable smart-lock option, when EAS password policy is enforced, says AT&T official e-support page.

How to Install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA Update on Motorola Nexus 6:

If Motorola Nexus 6 (AT&T) owners are getting the update notifications on the smartphone, then select "Yes, Download" option >> then, after downloading, click "Install now." The phone will restart automatically and the OS will be updated to the new version.

We would like to remind our readers that the roll-out process is carried out in phases, so it will take some time to reach all corners of the country.

Until then, users can check for OTA update manually by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check Now';

[Tip: Before checking for update manually, reboot the smartphone by switching it off and restart]
