In yet another shocking video aired on news channels, students of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, were seen harassing their fellow college mates into performing timid and embarrassing acts, besides bashing them up.

Adding insult to the injury, college authorities were said to be passing ducks in dealing with the unruly students, those who were indulged in giving out barbaric treatment to other students, even after months.

The video which was leaked on television channels showed a group of students forcing one boy to blow a condom and also showed one student being striped to his undergarments. One of the ragging students was seen mercilessly kicking his victim.

The video is believed to be taken in February this year. The college authorities have allegedly turned a blind eye to the plight of the victims and refrained from condemning those who indulged in ragging incidents.

According to an NDTV report, the ragging students stripped one of the victims to his underwear and forcefully made him dance, much to the cheers of the others who took pictures of the act on their mobile phones.

Reports suggested that the college officials claimed that they provided counselling for the victims and the students who restored to ragging. They also said that they filed a complaint with police officials based on the video.

However, the police didn't file any case saying that the students who were beaten up on video are not juniors, and thus it does not fall under the ragging category.

The videos of shocking humiliations and assaults involving girls and other students have become more common these days. In recent times, mob outrage against students in different parts of the country was captured on camera and has sparked a national cry.

Earlier this year, two such videos created waves across the country. A minor girl in Guwahati was groped and stripped by a mob on a busy street. In another video, a group of men claiming to be activists of Hindu Jagarana Vedike barged into a birthday bash and carried out blatant attacks on college students at Morning Mist Resort in Mangalore.
