It was Sunday night and the crowd at Tampa Bay, Florida, was eagerly waiting for comedian Amy Schumer to take the stage. She is known to have a confrontational style of comedy so it was no surprise when she ranted about Donald Trump to the audience.

Despite the fact that she was booed and heckled for her rant against Trump, Schumer did not stop. She asked the security to throw out the hecklers as well. The comedian stated she supported Hillary Clinton and spoke about sexual assault and gun control. Amy went a step further by getting a Trump supporter on stage and asked him why he was supporting "an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster."

But nearly 200 people walked out after this rant of hers against Donald Trump. Amy Schumer was unfazed by the fact that those who supported Trump jeered her and left the venue. She, in fact, thanked the 8,400 people who stayed on and made it a great night.

What is Amy Schumer's brand of comedy?

The American comedian has stated she is not a feminist and says it like it is. Her jokes touch upon all aspects be it racism, sex, politics and more. The 32-year-old has never held back when it comes to speaking her mind. At the Gloria Awards and Gala speech, Amy Schumer put it succinctly when she said, "I say if I'm beautiful. I say if I'm strong. You will not determine my story – I will. I will speak and share and fuck and love and I will never apologise to the frightened millions who resent that they never had it in them to do it."

Her idea at the end of the day is to make people laugh. And though Amy Schumer's brand of comedy might be perceived as offensive and not appealing to all, she has managed to push the boundaries of what is acceptable as a comic. Today, she has immense cultural power and with her firebrand sense of humour and comic style, Amy Schumer has redefined feminism in more ways than one. And she has no issues with throwing hecklers out either.
