Bollywood's two biggest stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, will be seen sharing screen space in filmmaker R. Balki's next venture.

According to various reports, Amitabh and Shahrukh have agreed to work on the upcoming project.

"The content of the film is a closely guarded secret but the two actors have agreed to work in the project because of its unique and interesting storyline," said an industry source, India Today reported.

The source also revealed that Balki was in search of a perfect script that could accommodate both the stars and had finally found one.

The project will reportedly be co-produced by Amitabh's banner ABCL and Shahrukh's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. Another highlight of the venture is that the actors will be involved in the film's distribution.

While Big B and Balki have worked together in movies like "CheeniKum" and  "Paa", the upcoming project will be Shahrukh's first venture with the filmmaker.

The last time Amitabh and Shahrukh faced the camera together was for Ravi Chopra's 2008 release "Bhootnath". The movie featured Amitabh in the lead role and Shahrukh made a special appearance.

Others movies that the stars did together were Karan Johar's "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", Aditya Chopra's "Mohabbatein", Yash Chopra's "Veer-Zaara" and Amol Palekar's "Paheli".

Balki, who is known for dealing with unconventional themes, has not commented on the report yet.

Amitabh is currently shooting in Bhopal with Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal for Prakash Jha's "Satyagraha", while Shahrukh is wrapping up the last scenes of Rohit Shetty's "Chennai Express".
