"America's Got Talent" Season 11 semifinals week 1 will kick off tonight with 10 of the 21 semifinalists taking stage in the hope of advancing to the next round. The competition is getting tougher with acts being filtered to just 21.

The semifinals have been divided into two parts stretching up to two weeks. Each week will have a live performance night followed by declaration of results the following day. Only 10 acts will advance to the next round after the semifinals.

The 10 semifinalists who will perform live in the semifinals 1 are Blake Vogt (Magician), Deadly Games (Knife Throwing Duo), Edgar (Family Band), Grace VanderWaal (Singer-songwriter/Ukelelist), Jon Dorenbos (Close-up Magician), Laura Bretan (Opera Singer), Lori Mae Hernandez (Standup Comedian), Musicality (school choir), Sal Valentinetti (Jazz Singer), and Tape Face (Comedic Mime).

"America's Got Talent" Season 11 semifinals week 1 episode will be broadcast on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. The episode will also be live streamed on NBC official website.

The live performance episode will be followed by results declaration and elimination round the following day. Only five acts that perform in semifinals 1 will advance to the next round. A total of 10 acts will be selected after the week 2.

"America's Got Talent" Season 11 premiered on May 31 before going to live shows on July 26. Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum have returned to the show as judges while Simon Cowell has replaced Howard Stern.
