The quarterfinals 3 act of America's Got Talent' 2014 season 9 will see 12 contestants performing live at Radio City Music Hall in New York City for America's vote. Only five of the contestants will advance to the next round.

The two hour episode will be telecast live on NBC at 8:00 PM on Tuesday (6:30 am IST, Wednesday). America will decide who goes to the next round by voting for their favourite contestants based on their performance on Tuesday.

12 contestants, who will hit the stage on Tuesday to impress the judges - Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Mel B and Heidi Klum – and the audience, are AcroArmy (Acrobats), Adrian Romoff (Pianist), Anna Clendening (Singer/guitarist), Blue Journey (Shadow dancing act), Christian Stoinev (Extreme hand balancer), Cornell Bhangra (Bhangra performers), Dragon House "The Agents" (Popping dancers), Kieran and Finian (Band), Mike Super (Mystifier), Paul Ieti (Singer), Sons of Serendip (Band) and Wendy Liebman (Comedian).

The quarterfinals 3 is expected to be more competitive than the earlier two episodes, as it has several contestants who put up superb performances during the Judgment Week. The cruel fact is only five them will go to the next round while seven will be sent home during the elimination episode on Wednesday.

Contestants, who have made it to the next round of the show after their performances in the previous two quarterfinals episodes, are Emily West, Dan Naturman, Miguel Dakota, David and Leeman, Baila Conmigo, Andrey Moraru, Mara Justine, Aerial Animation, Jaycob Curlee, and Mat Franco.

Last week saw seven contestants - Hart Dance Team, Loop Rawlins, John and Andrew, Livy, Matt & Sammy, Juan Carlos, Darik Santos, Acte II - being sent home after getting least vote from American audience. The elimination of Acte II, and Livy, Matt & Sammy came as a shocker, as they received praises from the judges during the live performance.

Only one more quarterfinals act is left after Tuesday's episode. The top 48 contestants, who were through the Judgment Week, are competing to find a place in the next round.
