"American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood is reportedly pregnant. The singer's representative has confirmed that the singer is expecting her first child with husband Mike Fisher.

"In honor of "Labor" Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement," read the caption of the photo posted on Instagram. "Their parents couldn't be happier..."

In the photo, Underwood could be seen with her two dogs in adorable outfits. One of the dogs' outfit read: "I am going to be a big brother" and the other: "I am going to be a big sister."

Underwood married Fisher in 2010.

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" the couple said to the People magazine post their wedding.

Underwood said in an interview last year that she was not ready to take the responsibility of her kids.

"I don't feel old enough to have kids," she told Marie Claire magazine. "I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?"

However, it seems the singer is ready for motherhood now.

Underwood shot to fame after winning the American Idol trophy. Since then, she has earned six Grammys and has sold more than 15 millions albums worldwide.

The couple are understood to be having a great relationship, according to reports.

"Communication, trust, and Skype are key," the singer said to Ladies Home Journal as per E! Online.  "My husband and I exercise at the same time, but his workouts are a lot different than mine. I don't want to look like a hockey player and he doesn't want to look like a country singer."

Underwood and Fisher will welcome their baby in the spring next year.
