With a New Year beginning, prepare for some new discount sales. Amazon and Flipkart are hosting the first major sales of 2016, offering steep discounts on a wide range of products. Shoppers can pick any category, ranging from electronics to home appliances, games and more, and fetch a decent discount during the ongoing sales on Amazon and Flipkart.

Flipkart started its Republic Day Sale, which runs between 20 and 22 January. During the sale, the online retailer is offering cashbacks and discounts like extra 30% off on select furniture, minimum 40% off on winter wear, flat discounts on smartphones and more.

Similarly, Amazon India is also hosting a 72-hour special sale campaign, known as the Great Indian Sale, from 21-23 January. During this period, the e-tailer is offering attractive discounts on crores of products with additional cashback, early access to offers on apps and exclusive deals.

Amazon Great Indian Sale

Amazon India has tied up with Citibank to offer additional cashback of up to 15% on app and 10% on the site. Maximum cashback of Rs 1,500 will be offered on a minimum transaction of Rs 5,000.
