Here goes some exciting news for Allu Arjun fans. The actor's first look in his upcoming film "Rudhramadevi" is all set to be revealed on 18 October.
Allu Arjun will play the role of Gona Ganna Reddy, a warrior chieftain, in the historical drama which also has Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles.
Anushka plays queen Rudhramadevi, who ruled the Kakatiya kingdom during the 13th century, while Rana appears in the role of Chalukya Veerabadhra, the prince of Nidavardhya Puram.
The film also features Catherine Tresa, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menon, Hamsa Nandhini, Aditi Chenagappa, Suman, Ajay, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, Krishnam Raju, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana and Vennela Kishore among others.
The first look of both Anushka and Prakash Raj has already been released. Fans of Allu Arjun have been eagerly waiting to see the actor's look in the film, ever since he commenced the shoot for the project. Now, it needs to be seen whether his first look will impress the audience.
Tresa has been paired opposite the stylish star and she will appear in the role of Annambika.
Directed by Gunasekhar, "Rudhramadevi" is touted as India's first historical stereoscopic 3D. The film's shoot has been completed and it is currently in its post-production stage. Maestro Ilayaraja has composed the soundtracks, while Ajayanan Vincent has handled the cinematography and Sreekar Prasad has taken care of the editing work.
The historical drama, reportedly made with a budget of ₹55 crore, is produced by Gunasekhar under his Guna Team Works banner. The film is expected to hit the screens in December 2014 or January 2015.
