A baby girl born with a trunk-like growth between her eyes in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, is being hailed as an incarnation of Lord Ganesha. The child was born on Thursday, 26 March, at 7 am.
Thousands of devotees are flocking to Aligarh to pay a visit to the "divine" girl and make her offerings.
"My sister-in-law gave birth to a girl at 7:00 am and her face looks exactly like Lord Ganesha. Everybody is saying she is an incarnation of the God," the baby's aunt, Rajani, told ANI.
"Whoever hears about her is coming here to get a glimpse of the baby and are making whatever offerings possible," she added.
The infant, born to poor parents Om Prakash and Sarvesh, has three elder siblings too.
However, doctors state that the protuberance might be due to lack of proper nutrition and pollution.
