Young star Alia Bhatt has shocked everyone by posting the news of her engagement to Arjun Kapoor on Twitter.
But before you come to any conclusions, the actress made the announcement only as a part of the promotions of her upcoming film "2 States".
The "Highway" actress took everyone by surprise with the interesting promotional gimmick. The invitation card which mentions Krish's (Arjun) engagement to Ananya (Alia) announces "2 States"s promo release date - 28 February.

Sharing the actress's enthusiasm was writer Chetan Bhagat, whose novel is materialising on celluloid with the film. Until now, the film, based on the love story and marriage between two culturally different individuals, has received positive feedback. The first look of the film, showing Arjun and Alia on a map of India, was very well received. And a few days after, the first still of the actors, showing them as the love-struck urbane couple was unveiled.

"2 States", directed by Abhishek Varman, is slated for release on 18 April.
