Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have charmed movie goers and fans with their stunning chemistry in the trailers of "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya" ("HSKD").

Both the actors have left no stone unturned to promote their upcoming movie and in a recent award show, Bhatt had a surprise wrapped for her co-star Dhawan. The "2 States" actress rumoured to be dating Arjun Kapoor reportedly proposed to junior Dhawan during the event, reported The Times of India

The Life OK award show was set on fire by the "Main Tera Hero" actor who entertained the audience with his live performance to the superhit song of "HSKD", "Saturday Saturday."

Bhatt later joined him and shook a leg. The on-screen couple also displayed their amazing chemistry as they danced on their upcoming movie's another track, "Samjhawan."

But what stole the limelight that evening was when the "Highway" actress showed her humorous side and went down on her knees to propose her "Humpty" in front of the audience.

Her gusty act stunned the audience who cheered and clapped for her. The award show was held on the evening of 23 June in Mumbai and will be aired on television soon.

The actors have been travelling to various locations to promote their film and were recently spotted in Delhi, where they stole hearts with their charming performance.

The promo event in Delhi received a remarkable response and the stirring track added excitement to the movie.

"Saturday Saturday" is buzzing all-over, and "Samjhawan" is among the top songs on the playlist of all the lovebirds. The newly launched "Emotional Fool" track has also gotten good response.

"HSKD" is directed by debutant Shashank Khaitan and is produced by Karan Johar. Both Dhawan and Bhatt share the screen space together for the second time after the success of the blockbuster "Student of the Year." "HSKD" is set to release on 11 July 2014.

Bhatt will be next seen in Vikas Bahl's romantic thriller "Shaandar" opposite Shahid Kapoor, which is slated to go on the floor in August this year. Meanwhile, Dhawan is also working on his next "Badlapur" that stars Yami Gautam as one of the lead actresses. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the drama thriller movie is produced by Illuminati Films owned by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan. The film will release in 2015.
