For the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, a Mollywood movie is having its world premiere in the UAE, even before its release in Kerala.

Director Midhun Manuel Thomas' family entertainer Alamara, starring Sunny Wayne and Aditi Ravi, released in the UAE on March 16. The comedy entertainer will hit the screens all over India on March 17.
The movie trailer opened to positive response from the audience, and it narrates how an alamara (cupboard) creates trouble in the life of a newly married couple. The film also stars Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup, Manikandan Achari, Seema G Nair, Bijukuttan, Indrans, Sudhi Koppa, Manju Satheesh, Sadiq, Sonu Anna Jacob, Action Hero Biju-fame Baby and Mary in pivotal roles.

Alamara Review: Alamara is all about a fun family oriented movie. A pretty decent comedy movie in all manner which is quite watchable from beginning to end.
The plot revolves around a young banker Arun and his life. After his marriage an Alamara comes to his life and rest of the story deals the with the troubles caused by that Alamara to his family and to his life. The entire movie is mainly targeting on humors and the comedies really worked out. The Story doesn't get a strong basement, it's predictable. The first half deals with the main protagonist marriage and his further life. Soon when a Alamara comes to his life everything gets changes. The second half deals with the troubles caused by this Alamara and some land property issues which is filled with decent comedies and emotions. As we all know Director Midhun Manuel Thomas always comes with a comedy oriented movie which targets family and youth audience. This time also he follows his same pattern but with a different style. A quite simple and decent direction. The story by Mahesh Gopal was good and executed it in a simple way.
The casting was absolutely brilliant. Sunny Wayne delivered his best performance. A pure matured acting was maintained throughout.The main female lead Aditi Ravi also come up with a good performance and as a newcomer a best performance. Aju Varghese is back again with a brilliant comedy performance and a good supporting role. Saiju Kurup, Manikandan Achari, Sudhi Koppa also given a good supporting roles. Renji Panicker and Seem G Nair as the parents of Sunny Wayne just delivered a fully fun performance, quite brilliant. Salim Kumar background voice for the Alamara was absolutely brilliant. So overall Alamara is all about a simple fun movie with some pretty good comedies and perfect movie for a time pass. My personal rating 3/5

Through a symbolic cupboard (Alamara) explains the double standards n ego of most families , and how it effects the newly wed. Light hearted fun , mostly engaging with fun moments. Loved the cinematography, art direction, music, editing and all the other departments...But most of all, this Alamara belongs to none other than Sunny Wayne.. What an amazing performance..!! I personally felt this is one amongst his career best..!!Congrats to the whole cast and crew for taking up such a relevant subject and weaving an entertaining and thought provoking movie around it... Do watch the movie in theatres...

The movie shows how parents often influence in couples marriage life due to their small egos and cause rifts in family. Sunny Wayne and Aditi Ravi were good so were the rest. Manikandan as Maman was really really funny. Overall predictable but good presentation.
