VV Vinayak's "Akhil: The Power of Jua", which marks the debut of Akhil Akkineni, has got a flying start at the box office on its opening day and is set to create a new record.

Much before the release of "Manam", Nagarjuna announced that his younger son Akhil Akkineni would enter the film industry as an actor. Since then, his debut movie has made it to the headlines many times for one or other reason. The makers of "Akhil: The Power of Jua" garnered a positive vibe for it through its promos. They have also spent a huge amount of money on its promotions.

"Akhil: The Power of Jua" has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 45 crore. The film has been released in over 700 cinema halls in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 150+ theatres in other parts of India and 250+ screens overseas. It has graced a total of 1100+ cinema halls across the globe and it is the highest number for a debut hero. The film registered good advance booking for its opening day.

The distributors of "Akhil: The Power of Jua" held paid preview shows in over 80+ centres across the US and the movie witnessed very good footfalls. The benefit shows were held in some centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the wee hours of Wednesday and the movie saw an earth-shattering response everywhere.

"Akhil: The Power of Jua" registered an average of 85% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes in morning and afternoon shows. The movie ran to packed houses in many centres across Telugu-speaking states. It is expected to record the same amount of response in the evening shows.

As per early trends, "Akhil: The Power of Jua" is likely to collect over Rs 9 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day. It is expected to become the all time biggest open for a debut hero, beating the previous record of "Alludu Seenu", which marked the debut of producer Bellamkonda Suresh's son Srininvas.
