Ajith starrer "Yennai Arindhaal" has slowed down at the box office. The Tamil movie released on 5 February and the film is now doing only reasonable business in limited screens during weekends.

The movie was released in above 400 screens in Tamil Nadu and a total of 1100 screens worldwide. Now, the screen count in Tamil Nadu has come down to 40 centers. It is still being run in 15 A centres and the remaining at B and C centres.

The film has about 20 shows in other parts of the world and "Yennai Arindhaal" as per trade reports, has grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide recently. At this rate, the Ajith starrer might only reach the 50-day mark in countable screens.

The film features Ajith, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Arul Vijay in the key roles. Traders feel that back-to-back releases of big films like "Anegan" and "Kaaki Sattai" had some impact on the film.

"Yennai Arindhaal" opened to mixed reviews on the release day. The movie was praised for decent storyline with a narration made in typical Gautham Menon's style.

Ajith's electrifying presence, Arun Vijay's brilliant performance, Trisha's impressive acting and the decent storyline worked in favour of the flick.

On the business part, the performance by the film at the box office is comparatively less keeping Ajith's standards in mind. But as the movie is made in Gautham Menon's style, the earnings of the movie are not as bad as believed by many.

The movie had grossed ₹14.05 crore on the first day in India. In Tamil Nadu alone, it had earned about ₹10.80 (₹8.31 crore nett). "Yennai Arindhaal" raked in ₹53.5 crore worldwide in its first weekend.
