Ajith Kumar's blockbuster movie "Vedalam" is reportedly being remade in Telugu, and Power Star Pawan Kalyan is playing the lead in the remake, which is likely to be directed by Santosh Srinivas.
The rumours about the Telugu remake of "Vedalam" have been doing the rounds ever since the film became a big hit at the box office. The names of a few leading actors were linked with the project, but none was confirmed. The latest buzz in the industry is Pawan Kalyan is interested to star in the Telugu remake of "Vedalam".
Director SJ Suryah, who has worked with Pawan Kalyan in "Kushi" and "Puli", was rumoured to be directing the Power Star for the third time in the remake of "Vedalam". The speculation about their third combo film started after the director was seen frequenting the sets of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh".
But the latest buzz in T-Town is Pawan Kalyan is not teaming up with SJ Suryah for the Telugu remake of "Vedalam". The actor reportedly wants to work with a young director win the movie. Hence, he has chosen to team up with "Kandireega" and "Rabhasa"-fame director Santosh Srinivas.
Pawan Kalyan is currently busy with the shooting of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh", and is expected to wrap up its filming by February-end. It has already been announced that the movie will be released as a summer treat on 8 April. After that, he is likely to take up the filming of the "Vedalam" remake.
It is reported that Pawan Kalyan has got another project lined up, and has planned to work with Tamil director SJ Suryah in this movie.
