Super hit Tamil movie "Vedalam" is all set to be remade in Kannada and Puneet Rajkumar is going to star in the Sandalwood version. The film also marks the debut of AM Rathnam in Kannada.
Sources say that Puneet Rajkumar and AM Rathnam have already held talks regarding this. The project will be helmed by Nanda Kishore of "Victory" and "Ranna" fame. More details on the film will be revealed once the producer returns from Sabarimala.
The buzz says that the content might be modified to some extent to suit the tastes of the Kannada audience. Other details about the project have been kept under wraps. However, the director is currently busy with his next movie "Tiger" and his much-hyped "Oh My God" remake starring Upendra and Sudeep will take off this month.
Puneet Rajkumar had earlier starred in a few Tamil remakes and had tasted success. Notable among them is "Hudugaru, which was the Kannada version of "Naadodigal". It is only after the completion of these projects that the remake of "Vedalam" will begin.
