The buzz says that the content might be modified to some extent to suit the tastes of the Kannada audience. Other details about the project have been kept under wraps. However, the director is currently busy with his next movie "Tiger" and his much-hyped "Oh My God" remake starring Upendra and Sudeep will take off this month.

Puneet Rajkumar had earlier starred in a few Tamil remakes and had tasted success. Notable among them is "Hudugaru, which was the Kannada version of "Naadodigal". It is only after the completion of these projects that the remake of "Vedalam" will begin.
