The wait is finally over. The title of Ajith's forthcoming movie, which has been tentatively named "Thala 56" by his fans and the media all these months, is announced as "Vedhalam" on Wednesday, 23 September, along with the release of the first look poster.

Yes. It has been revealed by Ajith's manager Suresh Chandra on his Twitter account. He also confirmed that the movie will release for Diwali.

The title "Vedhalam" means ghost and the term is probably used to mention the quality of the character that Ajith plays in the movie. Coming to the first look, it gives a glimpse of Ajith's character in the movie. The actor looks simple yet stylish in red kurta in the first look of the movie.

The announcement has created a lot of buzz among Ajith fans online who have been desperately waiting to know the movie name ever since it took off. In fact, it was supposed to be revealed during Ganesh Chathurthi festival.

But the plans went for a change due to the first look release of Rajinikanth's "Kabali". The makers of "Thala 56" did not want to clash the announcement with the superstar's film and therefore delayed it. 

Ajith fans were disappointed because of the postponement. However, they are apparently happy now and expressing their excitement by using multiple hashtags about it on Twitter.

The first look and the name announcement of the movie has taken the Ajith fans by storm. It is evident with the amount of comments pouring in on social media sites. Especially on Twitter, they are out their to prove their love for the actor and to explain how badly they have been waiting for the release of "Vedhalam".

The Tamil film  is a family-oriented movie written and directed by Siruthai Siva. The movie also revolves around brother-sister relationship between the lead actors Ajith and Lakshmi Menon. Shruti Haasan is the female lead in the film.
