Simbu aka Silambarasan, an ardent fan of Ajith Kumar, seems to have taken a cue from Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The actor, from now on, will be available on Twitter for his fans only on special occasions.

The actor has been very active on Twitter for the last couple of years. Simbu used the platform to interact with his fans, to make announcements about films and clarify rumours. However, in a latest development, the actor has decided to bid goodbye to Twitter, but has said that he will chat with his fans during special occasions like Ilayalathalapathy Vijay does when required.

"Iam very thankful to my fans and friends who had been following me in the twitter until now. My twitter will b handled by fans club admin .. Will choose to use it only if situation demands as i feel as an artiste iam bound to provide films of content and quality to my fans," Simbu tweeted. It is noted that Vijay's account too is handled by the actor's official fans club.

"An artiste's connection to the fans is 'Quality films' confident that my fans will understand my stature on this . Neenga illama nan illa :). Will miss u :( Thanks for the love ... Love u all :) God bless."

The reason behind his sudden move is not known yet, but it is believed that as his career is in crossroads due to his wrong choices, Simbu has come to the conclusion that he needs to be out of limelight to plan his future wisely.

From the past three years, Simbu had only one release in the form of "Vaalu", which hit screens a few months ago after facing a lot of trouble. His singing aspirations and his love life have also taken a serious toll on his acting career.

For his next, he has teamed up with Gautham Menon for a romantic movie "Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada" and is also busy with "Idhu Namma Aalu", which features Nayantara in the female lead role.
