Latest buzz doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Ajith's "Arrambam" (Beginning) might clash with Kamal Haasan's "Vishwaroopam 2" during this year's Diwali festival.

"Arrambam", directed by Vishnu Vardhan, has been in the making for the past one year or so. The film's shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and its team is gearing up for a Diwali release.

The shooting of "Arramabam" is almost complete and the film's unit has already begun their final schedule to finish some remaining portions. "Arrambam", deemed as an action entertainer, will have Ajith performing some high-energy action sequences. The stunt scenes have reportedly been shot in various places including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaisalmer, Ladakh and Dubai.

Ever since the film went on floors, the buzz about the project doesn't seem to stop. The film was titled only a few months ago, creating a stir on the social media platform. There were reports about Ajith playing a hacker in the flick. But Vishnu Vardhan refuted the reports saying it is actor Arya who is donning the hacker character.

Apart from Ajith and Arya, "Arrambam" has Nayathara, Taapsee Pannu, Mahesh Manjrekar, Rana Daggubati and Atul Kulkarni playing supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the launch of the songs will reportedly take place in September. The audio launch is expected to take place on 9 September, the ausipicous day of Vinayaka Chaturthi.

Vishwaroopam 2

Kamal Haasan's spy-thriller "Vishwaroopam 2" is also likely to get released on Diwali. Most parts of the film have been shot and it is expected get wrapped up soon.

Once shooting is complete, post-production work will begin in full swing. According to reports, the film's producer Aascar Ravichandran is planning to release it on Diwali. But there is no confirmation on the same.

The Kamal starrer is a sequel to "Vishwaroopam" which was released earlier this year in Tamil Nadu, after facing a two-week delay due to certain issues in connection with some Muslim groups. Despite a delay in the release, "Vishwaroopam" rocked the box office, apparently collecting more than 200 crore.

The popularity of "Vishwaroopam" has raised expectations for the sequel. Recently, the first look poster of the film was released, generating a lot of buzz among the fans. They are eagerly waiting for the sequel which is expected to take over from where the first part ended.

"Vishwaroopam 2" will feature some of the stars who appeared in the first part, including Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Shekar Kapur and Rahul Bose.

Big Clash

It remains to be seen if "Arrambam" and "Vishwaroopam 2" will release on the same day or there will be a change in dates to avoid a clash.

Moreover, there were also some reports that Rajinikanth's "Kochadaiyaan" might hit the screens on Diwali, as a treat to the superstar's fans. The film, shot with 3D motion capturing technology, was expected to be released in August or September, but is now said to hit theatres on Diwali.

But there is no official announcement from the makers of "Kochadaiyaan". If these biggies clash on the same day, it will be a big Diwali treat for the fans.
