The shooting of Ajith's "Arrambam", which is all set to hit the screens during Diwali, has been wrapped up.

"Arrambam" team had headed to Dubai to complete the shooting and some patch work including a song. Now that the team has wrapped up their work, post-production work has begun in full swing.

Although it has been confirmed that the film will release during the festive season, an exact release date has not been announced. According to senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai, "Arrambam" makers are planning to release the film on 31 October or 1 November. However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made.

Expectations are high for "Arrambam", thanks to Ajith's star power, the film's interesting trailer and impressive sound tracks. The action-packed entertainer is on the making for the last one year or more. The film is in high demand and its theatrical rights are being snapped by distributors for whopping amounts.

"Arrambam" is expected to have a wide release across the globe. But the film might face strong competition in getting screens as two other Tamil films are likely to release around the same time. Karthi's "All in All Azhaguraja" and Vishal's "Pandiyanadu" are heading for a big release for Diwali. Moreover, Hrithik Roshan's "Krrish 3" is also hitting theatres during that time.

According to trade experts, it will be difficult to release four big films at the same time in Tamil Nadu. However, two films can be easily accommodated for Diwali. It remains to be seen which film will make it to theatres for the festive day and which one will back out of the race. Nevertheless, this Diwali is going to be a real treat for cinema lovers.
