Latest buzz doing the rounds in the Tamil film industry is that actor Ajith might team up with director KV Anand for a new film.

KV Anand is currently working with National Award winning actor Dhanush in "Anegan". This film is produced by AGS Entertainment, the banner which produced KV Anand's last outing "Maattrraan". Apparently, the director and the production house have decided to join hands for another big budget project. They have reportedly held initial discussions regarding the new film.

Buzz is that Ajith might team up with KV Anand for this film. Trusted sources have suggested that Ajith and KV Anand have held talks. However, there is no confirmation on the same, reported Behindwoods.com.

Earlier, reports had emerged that KV Anand approached Rajinikanth for his next project. But the supertaster reportedly turned down the offer for reasons which are yet to be clarified. The director then went on to begin "Anegan" with Dhanush, which also has Karthik in a pivotal role. The film is expected to get released this year.

Ajith, who is basking in the success of "Veeram", is all set to commence his new untited flick with director Gautham Menon from February. As the actor and KV Anand will be busy with their respective projects for months, their supposed new film might start later in 2014.

If "Thala" (Ajith is fondly referred by this name) teams with the "Ayan" director, it will be their first venture. It may be recalled that Ajith was initially offered "Ko", helmed by Anand, but things did not materialise and the film went to Jiiva.
