Ajith Kumar is all set to start the shooting of his next movie, which is presently referred to as "Thala 57." The filming will commence on Aug. 2 in Bulgaria and the actor left Chennai on Friday, July 29.

Reports say that Ajith was accompanied by a few members of the "Thala 57" unit and the actor's picture taken at the Chennai airport has gone viral.

Ajith will be seen doing the role of an investigating officer in "Thala 57," which is written and directed by Siruthai Siva. The actor is expected to retain his tried and tested salt-and-pepper look in the forthcoming Tamil film. The latest picture of the actor at the Chennai airport has given a strong reason for people to believe that he will sport grey hair in the flick.

Anu Vardhan, who had designed costumes for him in the films like "Billa," "Arrambam" and "Vedalam," is working with him again. She has prepared well to give him a stylish look in "Thala 57."

Ajith will be pairing up with Kajal Aggarwal in the film. The hunt for the second female lead is still on although names of Akshara Haasan, Ritwika Singh and Kriti Sanon have been doing the rounds. The makers had also approached Sai Pallavi of "Premam" fame but the actress has officially confirmed that she could not take it up due to other commitments.

The major part of the movie will be shot in foreign countries and mainly in Europe. It is an urban-centric movie, in which a top actor will be seen in the role of an antagonist. Aravind Swamy and Prasanna were reportedly approached for the role. But there is no confirmation on whether they have accepted the offer or not.

"Thala 57," which is produced by Sathyajyothi Films, has Anirudh's music, Vetri's cinematography and Anthony L Ruben's editing.
