The story of Ajith's "Thala 57" has been revealed. Producer Thyagarajan has reportedly given away interesting information about the plot of the upcoming Tamil movie.

In an interview, Thyagarajan has opened up about the story and revealed other details. He has said that Ajith is playing an Interpol officer in the movie. A crime occurs in Tamil Nadu and the hero, who wants to get to the root of the issue, investigates the case, which takes him to Europe.

Thyagarajan has said that the story of the latest film is different from the earlier films, "Veeram" and "Vedalam," made by Ajith and Siruthai Siva. He has promised the film would have high-octane action sequences. The producer has claimed that 70 percent of the shooting will be held in foreign countries and the remaining portions will be shot in India.

The shooting of "Thala 57" was started on Aug.2 in Belgrade and not in Bulgaria or Slovenia as reported earlier. It is a 40-day schedule in which Ajith and Kajal Aggarwal's portions will be filmed at some exotic locales.

Thyagarajan has revealed that Ajith Kumar has been preparing for this film for the past six months. The actor had undergone multiple surgeries in November 2015. After being bed-ridden for three months, he started preparing for the project by doing workouts in the gym for six to seven hours a day.

The producer has added that they plan to release "Thala 57" in next April. Talking about the music, Thyagarajan claimed that the film will have five songs, including the theme music, which has already been composed by music director Anirudh Ravichander.

"Thala 57" has Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan in the female lead roles.
