The first look poster and teaser of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film "Jazbaa" is likely to be released during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in France.

Last month, director Sanjay Gupta confirmed that the former Miss World and bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai will star as the main lead in his action thriller flick "Jazbaa."

"Yes guys it's true. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play the dynamic female lead in my action/thriller JAZBAA," Gupta tweeted.

The "Dhoom 2" actress will play the lead role in the film and will reportedly be doing a lot of stunts without a body double. Two male actors will do prominent characters in the film along with Rai. However, details about the complete cast and crew are yet to be finalised.

The shooting of "Jazbaa" is expected to go on floors in early 2015 and Gupta is planning to release the film's first look poster and the teaser at Cannes next year. Rai is a Cannes regular as she is the brand ambassador of leading cosmetic major and the actress has been attending the prestigious films festival for the last 13 years. Next year, her fans will be in for a big treat when her first look is revealed at the film festival.

Confirming the news, Gupta said, "Yes that is the plan so far, I am looking forward to unveiling the first look of Jazbaa at Cannes next year, and hoping that I will be able to do so," according to Bollywood Hungama.

The buzz surrounding Rai's comeback film has been doing the rounds for the past several months. The actress took a break from films after becoming pregnant with her first child. Post the birth of her daughter Aaradhya, speculations about Ash's return to the silver screen had gained momentum. Her name has been linked to several projects but nothing was officially confirmed.

After months of waiting, the Bachchan bahu confirmed that she will star in Gupta's "Jazbaa." Ash also corroborated that she is doing Maniratnam's spy thriller, which is deemed as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

However, there is no clarity as to when the Maniratnam film will go on floors. Earlier, there were reports that the big budget project will commence in June. Telugu actors Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna were also supposed to be part of the project. But, off late, there have been reports suggesting that the film has been dropped.

Actor Nagarjuna has reportedly revealed in one of his media interactions that the Maniratnam directorial has been cancelled. "Maniratnam has narrated a story to me and Mahesh Babu. But after some days, he called me and said that the project is cancelled," Nagarjuna was quoted as saying by Indiaglitz.

There are also reports suggesting that the film is just put on hold. It is still unclear whether the film is called off or it will go on floors sometime later. Ash and Maniratnam share a great rapport and they both have worked together in films such as "Iruvar" (Tamil), "Raavan" and "Guru."

On the other hand, Ash will be working with Gupta for the first time in her film career. The director is popular for his films such as "Shootout at Lokhandwala", "Shootout at Wadala" and "Kaante", all of which are action oriented subjects. It will be interesting to see Rai in an action avatar in "Jazbaa."
