If you are wondering if Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will ever act in films again, here is news for you. The grapevine is abuzz with the new that she is making a comeback with a film opposite 25-year-old Varun Dhawan.

Aishwarya Rai has been away from films for the last two years. She took break from films because of her pregnancy, and then her priority shifted to her daughter Aaradhya.

But her fans are waiting for her to make a comeback on silver screen. Her last film was "Guzaarish" (2010) opposite Hritihik Roshan.

Latest report suggests that the actress might make her comeback in Sriram Raghavan's dark thriller which stars Varun Dhawan but nothing is finalised yet.

"Nothing is finalised yet, but (director) Sriram Raghavan has reached out to Aishwarya and Varun. Neither of them want to talk about it yet, since things are at an initial stage," Hindustan Times quoted a trade insider as saying.

"In the last two weeks, Varun and Sriram have met a few times to discuss the project. Varun is believed to be a big fan of the kind of films Sriram is known for."

Ramesh Taurani is set to produce the dark thriller film. According to HT, Varun is almost confirmed, but the makers are waiting for Aish's response.

"If all goes well, the film should kick off later this year," the insider said.

Varun, 25, is the son of director David Dhawan and made his Bollywood debut last year in Karan Johar's "Student Of The Year".

While the director of the film has not commented anything on the news, producer said that they are working on the script and would look into casting once it is ready.
