Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Friday celebrates 21 years of being crowned Miss World.

On 19 November, 1994, Aishwarya won the Miss World title beating 86 other contestants. The beauty pageant was held in Sun City, South Africa.

Apart from Miss World title, in the 1994 Miss India pageant, she won second place, behind Sushmita Sen, and also won five other sub-titles, including "Miss Catwalk", "Miss Miraculous", "Miss Photogenic", "Miss Perfect Ten" and "Miss Popular".

Then, she went on to win the Miss World crown where she also bagged the "Miss Photogenic" award and "Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty − Asia and Oceania".

Aishwarya continued to pursue a career in modelling until she became an actress.

Since then, the actress has been titled as 'the most beautiful woman'. Though Aishwarya is a wife and a mother at present, she still has the ability to capture hearts with her irresistible charm.

She has not only come out as one of the ace actresses and models, but also as an ideal mother, wife and daughter-in-law.

She is married to Abhishek Bachchan, with whom she has an adorable daughter Aaradhya. The former Miss World is the daughter-in-law of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

After five years, the actress is back in the film industry. She made her comeback with Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa" this year and now, she is shooting for Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".
