Bollywood stars prefer to invest big money in real estates, be it India or overseas. And the latest celebrity to invest in real estate is Bollywood diva and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In a high transaction deal, the "Jazbaa" actress has bought a five-bedroom luxury apartment in Mumbai worth Rs 21 crore, Economic Times reported. Aishwarya Rai bought the five-bedroom flat in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, also called BKC.
The five-bedroom apartment in BKC is spread over 5,500 sq ft at a high-end residential complex, ET reported quoting two people close to the development.
"The deal was concluded and registered last week. It's a five-bedroom apartment", said one of the persons familiar with the development, according to ET.
Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai is going to be actress Sonam Kapoor's neighbour, who endorses the same cosmetic brand as the former. Sonam recently bought a 7,000 sq ft duplex apartment worth Rs. 35 crore in the same complex.
