In yet another embarrassment for Air India, one of its flights was grounded in Chennai after the pilot assaulted the flight engineer.

The plane finally took off after a two-hour delay.

The incident took place inside the aircraft's cockpit where the pilot locked himself up after the incident, says NDTV.

The engineer suffered injuries in the attack and wants to file an FIR. He has been taken to hospital for a medical test.

According to latest reports, a probe has been ordered and the pilot's now off the roster.

Last year a Delhi-bound an Air India flight returned to Kolkata on Christmas Eve, from where it took off, because of dense fog in the national capital.

It later turned out that the pilot was not trained to land in foggy conditions.
