The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared the exam results of HS or Class 12 examination 2017 on its official website — ahsec.nic.in — on May 30. The Class 12 exams were held from February 20 to March 20, 2017.

Students who appeared for the exam can check their results on ahsec.nic.in and examresults.net. They can follow the steps given below to access their results

  • Login to the official website — ahsec.nic.in or examresults.net/assam
  • Click on HS result
  • Enter the required details
  • Click on the Submit button

The results will be displayed on the screen. It is advisable to take a print out of the results for future reference.

Around 2.5 lakh students appeared for the Higher Secondary exams in Assam this year. A total of 1,94,069 students from the Humanities stream took the exam, while 37,350 students appeared from the Science stream and 17,894 students from the Commerce stream.

The minimum marks required to pass the examination is 20 in each subject. Those who score 70 percent or above qualify for distinction.

The AHSEC had to cancel the physics and biology papers of Class 12 after they were leaked and circulated on social media in a few parts of the state.
