Director Sujoy Ghosh has come up with a spine chilling thriller short film "Ahalya" featuring Radhika Apte in the lead.
After Vidya Balan starrer "Kahaani", Ghosh has once again surprised viewers with his latest short film. The fourteen minutes video is related to the story of Ahalya, who was the young wife of Gautama Maharishi, according to Hindu Mythology. She was turned into stone by her husband for having an extra-marital affair with Lord Indra. But, in reality, Indra used to appear before Ahalya in the guise of Maharishi and seduce her.
Similarly, Sujoy's short film is about Ahalya played by Radhika Apte. But in this flick, the actual culprit is seen being punished.
The Bengali short film has garnered much appreciation and the director and the actors including Radhika, Soumitra Chatterjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury have been lauded for their performance.
Apart from viewers, Bollywood celebs and critics cannot stop raving about how imaginative and creative Sujoy is. They praised the mind blowing film on social media.
