There has been a buzz in Kollywood that actor Jai of "Raja Rani" fame has converted to Islam.

Rumours are doing the rounds that Jai was inspired by the Islam religion when he was working in his yet-to-be-released film "Thirumanam ennum Nikkah." The film, which highlights the culture and traditions of both the Hindu and the Islam religion is directed by newcomer Anis. Buzz is that Jai was attracted to the Islam religion while he was shooting for the project, reported Indiaglitz.

However, there is no official confirmation from the actor, who is known for his notable roles in "Subramaniapuram," "Engeyum Eppodhum" and "Raja Rani."

It may be recalled that a few months ago, music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja had revealed that he has embraced Islam. Yuvan, son of music maestro Ilayaraja, denying rumours that he is married for the third time, posted a message on his Twitter page in which he also revealed that he has embraced Islam.

"I'm not married for the third time. That news is fake and yes I follow Islam and I'm proud about it. Alhamdhulillah," Yuvan tweeted.

"My family supports my decision and there is no misunderstanding between me and my dad," he further said.

Following his revelation, many fans came in support of the noted composer. But it seems, he also received some unwanted messages following his decision to follow another religion. Apparently, it upset Yuvan and de-activated his twitter account.

The music composer is currently busy with his upcoming projects including "Anjaan", "Poojai", "Govindudu Andarivadele" (Telugu) and "Sippai" among others.
