Here's some good news for fans of Star Plus' shows. The top-rated channel is all set to undergo some major changes in terms of its current shows.
Keeping in mind viewers' love for the shows that air in prime time slots between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Star Plus has decided to run the daily soaps throughout the week.
"Diya Aur Baati Hum", "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai", "Silsila Pyaar Ka", "Siya Ke Ram", "Tamannaa" and upcoming show "Dehleez" will now be telecast seven days a week. The changes will come into effect mid-February onwards, reported Telly Chakkar.
A few months ago, series that telecast in the 5-7.30 p.m. slot -- "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein", "Saath Nibhaana Saathiya" , "Suhani Si Ek Ladki", "Mohi" and "Mere Angne Mein" -- were extended and now they are telecast on Sundays as well.
Not just Star Plus, recently Zee TV's "Kumkum Bhagya", "Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani", "Jamai Raja", "Qubool Hai" and other popular shows that used to be telecast five days a week, also were extended and now air from Monday to Saturday.
Sony TV has also changed the schedule of some of its current shows. Some of the popular series that aired for half an hour, have now been extended to 45 minutes. "Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman", "Suryaputra Karn", "Parvarrish - Season 2" and a few others now run for another 15 minutes daily.
