For the gorgeous Sonam Kapoor, 2014 surely seems to have begun on a positive note.

After being declared as the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in "Raes", the fashionista is said to have grabbed another major project.

Sonam has been finalised for Sooraj Barjatya's "Bade Bhaiya" starring superstar Salman Khan, according to DNA.

The director is said to have picked Sonam for her innocent and traditional looks. Barjatya, well known for his family-drama films felt the actress suited the part the most, after having watched her performance in "Raanjhaana."

However, there has been no confirmation of the news yet.

"There will be a proper announcement at the right time. Till then Sonam can't talk about it all. Even her family is keeping mum on this restigious project," a source told the daily.

Reports of Sonam being considered for the film have been doing the rounds after the film's initial choice Deepika Padukone opted out citing date issues.

Sonam had two major releases last year "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" and "Raanjhaana", for which the actress was heaped with praises.

With "Raes" and "Bade Bhaiya" as well as the "Koobsurat" remake in her kitty, the actress clearly is on a roll.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old's upcoming YRF film "Bewakoofiyaan" with Ayushmann Khurrana has created a positive buzz, since its trailer was released on 6 February. It has already amassed around 2 lakh hits in a day.
