Reenu Mathews is climbing her steps in Malayalam film industry with various notable characters.

The actress, who made her debut with Mammootty's "Immanuel" in 2013, later went on to do some noticeable characters in films like "Kullante Bharya", Mammootty's "Praise the Lord" and Prithviraj's "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha:". The latest buzz suggests that Reenu is all set for her next film with Mohanlal and Manju Warrier.

Reportedly, Reenu will play a pivotal role in Sathyan Anthikkad's upcoming film. The Mohanlal starrer has created a lot of buzz since its announcement as the super star will be seen opposite Manju after 16 years. They have acted together in films like "Summer in Bethlehem", Kanmadam" and "Aaram Thampuran".

As reported before, the shooting of the much awaited film will kick start on the auspicious 'Kerala Piravi' day, which falls on 1 November and Reenu will join the film's sets on 10 October.

Meanwhile, the story of this multi starrer movie is done by veteran actor Raveendran and Ranjan Pramod has penned the script.

"My challenge is to give the best script for Mohanlal-Manju combination. At the same time, I have to make sure their characters are well defined and they stand out. I am in the process of writing something that reflects their personalities. I have worked with Mohanlal in two films, 'Naran' and 'Photographer' but I haven't worked with Manju before. I hope I can give them a script to exhibit their best performance," said Ranjan to IBTimes, India.

Ranjan had earlier scripted Anthikkad's two hit films "Manassinakkare" (2003) and "Achuvinte Amma" (2005). Innocent will also play a pivotal role in this family entertainer. The music of the film is done by Vidyasagar and the lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahammed. Meanwhile, the director has confirmed that Sameer Thahir will handle the cinematography.

The untitled movie, which is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas is expected to hit the screens as new year release.
