The Pakistan Super League (PSL) promises to be an entertaining T20 competition, with some of the biggest stars already having agreed to participate in the tournament. Flamboyant English batsman, Kevin Pietersen, is the latest cricketer to have joined the list, which already includes the likes of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Angelo Mathews.

Pietersen's career for England might be over, but the aggressive batsmen has been actively participating in T20 leagues around the world -- be that in India, West Indies or Australia.

Pakistan cricket fans will be eager to witness a player of such class in the PSL. Cricketers like Gayle and Pietersen will give the tournament immense credibility and help make huge money as well.

Pietersen is already excited to be a part of the mega event.

"Absolutely buzzing to be a part of the Pakistani mega [event] coming up in February. I can't wait to get started," Cricket Australia's official website quoted Pietersen as saying.

With players such as Gayle and Pietersen, one can expect a flurry of boundaries and sixes, which is what T20 cricket is all about.

"It looks like it is going to be a wonderful competition. Lots of fun, lots of sixes, lots of wickets, typical T20 stuff. I am really excited to be a part of this wonderful tournament and excited to get going. I will see you guys soon," added Pietersen.

The PSL is moving in the right direction as the organisers of the competition seem to be closing in their original venue, UAE, though, they had earlier announced Doha as the city for the competition.

They were forced to select Doha as the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) then stated another competition comprising retired cricketers -- the Masters Champions League -- had already booked the venues. But, recent meetings between the Emirates Cricket Board and the PCB have increased the chances of the inaugural edition of the PSL being hosted in UAE in February 2016.

Apart from signing cricketers, to add more brand value, the PCB have also signed Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raza as the official brand ambassadors of the competition.
