Anirudh Ravichander, who is one of the fast-growing musicians in Kollywood, seems to have bagged a biggie. After working with Ajith, Vijay and Vikram, the young musician is now likely to compose music for none other than a Rajinikanth-starrer.

Rumours are rife that Anirudh Ravichander might score music for Rajinikanth's next with Pa Ranjith. Being a relative of the superstar, he has not composed music for his film yet. His wish to work with Rajini is likely to be fulfilled in the forthcoming Tamil film.

Anirudh Ravichander has been groomed by Dhanush, who is now producing Rajinikanth's next. Hence, it does not come as a surprise to see the young musician getting offer to work in the forthcoming film. However, the makers are yet to confirm the news.

The music director shot to fame with his "Kolaveri di" song from the Tamil movie "3." Since then, he has been part of many successful movies that include "Ethir Neechal," "Kaththi" and "Vedalam."

Meanwhile, there are reports that Amala Paul is a strong contender to play the female lead in the movie, which will commence in mid 2017. More details on the project are expected to be out in the coming days.

The yet-to-be-titled film was announced by Dhanush recently on Twitter. He wrote, "I'm so proud and honoured to announce our production's next film #WunderbarFilms. [sic]." The upcoming movie is the second outing of Pa Ranjith with Rajinikanth after their latest "Kabali." The young filmmaker has now joined directors like KS Ravikumar, P Vasu, Shankar, Suresh Krishna, who worked with Rajinikanth more than once.

It is widely believed that Pa Ranjith would be doing a sequel to "Kabali," but the latest reports say that the flick will be altogether a different project.
