A new survey on the upcoming Delhi elections scheduled for 4 December 2013 revealed that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kerjriwal will emerge as the winner.

The survey conducted by The Economic Times, between 22 and 24 November, showed that Kejriwal is likely to beat three-time Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit by a large number of votes.

ET joined hands with polling firm TNS and asked about 2,100 registered voters about their opinion on the upcoming elections. It was found that Kejriwal was likely to win 40 percent of the votes with 41 percent men and 42 percent women voting for AAP.

BJP candidate Vijender Gupta was ranked second, followed by Congress candidate Sheila Dikshit taking the third spot.

Dikshit has held the post of the Chief Minister of Delhi since 1998.
