Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal convened a special session of the Delhi assembly on Tuesday, in the wake of graft allegations levelled against him by former minister Kapil Mishra.

Mishra, who was suspended from the Aam Aadmi PArty (AAP) on Monday, has alleged that Kejriwal took a sum of Rs 2 crore in cash from cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain. Mishra also submitted documents to the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) against the CM in connection with an alleged water tanker scam. The sacked minister met with the CBI on Tuesday and lodged three complaints seeking a probe against his colleagues in the Delhi government.

"Truth will triumph. Its beginning will be made during the special session of the Delhi Assembly tomorrow," Kejriwal tweeted on Monday night. The CM through his tweet suggested that he would present his side of the story in the House. Reports state that the Tuesday's session will bring Kejriwal and Mishra face to face.

Mishra levies fresh allegations

Mishra has also accused Kejriwal of shielding people linked to the 2012 water tanker scam, and for being party to a land deal that benefited a relative. Levying fresh charges, the former Delhi minister alleged that a Rs 50-crore land deal had been arranged for the family of Kejriwal's brother-in-law, S K Bansal.

"Satyendra Jain told me that he has arranged a seven-acre land deal in Chattarpur for Kejriwal's brother-in-law, the Bansal family. Being the PWD minister, he fudged bills up to Rs 10 crore in the department to benefit Kejriwal's relative," he alleged. Jain dismissed the allegations, and sources close to him said he will file a defamation case against Mishra.

Mishra also said that people close to the CM were threatening him, but he is "not afraid."

The ousted minister also accused AAP senior members of indulging in corrupt activities during the Punjab assembly elections and Delhi civic polls. Mishra alleged that the AAP's poll candidates in Punjab had to pay massive amount of money to the party.

Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia however has rejected all the allegations calling them untrue.

Surendra Kumar Bansal dead

"Mishra is levelling false allegations against a man who died today. He doesn't even have humanity," Sisodia tweeted. Kejriwal's brother-in-law, Surendra Kumar Bansal, died of a heart attack on Monday.

"My brother-in-law is no more. This stupid man is speaking all written script without any mind," Kejriwal's wife Sunita tweeted.

AAP has, in turn, alleged that a big conspiracy theory was being hatched against the party by BJP through Mishra, as BJP members demanded Kejriwal's resignation. The ruling Delhi party said that the CM will  not resign over the "baseless allegations."
