Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan reportedly delayed the shoot of his Yash Raj production "Dhoom 3" for an absurd reason that turned out to be his hair.
Aamir was supposed to start filming for "Dhoom 3" on June 29, but he postponed the shooting again for the third time just because he was not happy with his hairstyle. The actor was said to have delayed the shooting by 10 days as he wanted a fix-up on one of the hairstyles.
Grapevine has it that the actor sought a drastic style for his hair, which will best suit his character as a gymnast in the movie. He has asked his preferred hairstylist Avan Contractor to come up with new hair trends that Aamir will sport for this particular film. He has also requested for more time for histo grow his hair adequately for the new style.
Earlier, the 47-year-old actor delayed the shoot twice on account of his upcoming film "Talaash" and his television show "Satyamev Jayte".
Though the star was not available for comments, his spokesperson confirmed the news to the media.
"Aamir always wants to be perfectly ready before he throws himself into a role. This time is no exception. The two of them will sit together and zero down on a few hairstyles over the next three days, which will make Aamir look like the gymnast he plays in the film," a source close to the film said.
Should everything go well besides getting a perfect hairstyle, then the shooting of the film will begin on July 7. The actor will shoot for five days in Mumbai, following which he will fly to Chicago where more than half of the film shooting will be covered. Katrina Kaif is also believed to join the team in Chicago.
