Indian film industry has many hit actors who have proved that they were born to be stars. Since childhood, they have been performing on the big screen and have made it big to the industry.

From Aamir Khan to Alia Bhatt, there are many child artistes who have made it big in the film industry.

Aamir Khan

Perfectionist Aamir Khan began his journey at the age of seven in the 1973 classic "Yaadon Ki Barat". Since then, Aamir has achieved immense success in his career and has become the one of the most popular actors in the film industry.

Sridevi

The veteran actress was born to act. She got into films at the tender age of four in a Tamil film "Kandan Karunai". She went on to become a great success and did both mainstream and regional cinema.

Hrithik Roshan

Handsome hunk Hrithik Roshan is still remembered for his blockbuster debut in "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai". But not many know that the heart-throb has been on big screen as a child artist. He appeared in a dance sequence in the film "Aasha" and later in a minor role in "Aap Ke Deewane."

Later he assisted his father – director Rakesh Roshan in "Karan Arjun" and "Koyla" after getting his first movies break.

Alia Bhatt

"Student of the Year" actress Alia Bhatt has acted as a child artist as well. She first came on the big screen in 1999 in Mahesh Bhatt's "Sangharsh."

Later she was cast by Karan Johar as a lead with Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra.

Shweta Basu Prasad

Shweta Basu Prasad was the popular child artist in Vishal Bhardwaj's "Makdee." She even won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. After that she was also seen in Shreyas Talpade-starrer "Iqbal". The actress has done many TV serial as a child and now has grown pursuing career in Telugu cinema.

Unfortunately, the actress was booked under alleged prostitution charges in Hyderabad in August but recently she has been released from rescue home.

Urmila Matondkar

The "Rangeela" actress gave her debut performance as a child artist along with Jugal Hansraj in the film "Masoom". Thereafter, she went onto rule the film industry in the 90s.

Hansika Motwani

The bubbly little girl was seen in Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Koi Mil Gaya". She did several TV serials as a child too. Hansika Motwani shocked the audience when she came out as a hot and glamorous actress only a few after that. Now she is a well-known Tollywood actress.

Sana Saeed

Everyone remembers the little Anjali from Karan Johar's film "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", who played Shah Rukh Khan's daughter in the 1998 hit. In 2012, the little girl turned into a stunner for "Student of the Year" -- again a Karan Johar production.

Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor made his first silver-screen appearance as a young Raj Kapoor in the film "Mera Naam Joker". An adolscent Rishi was cast in "Bobby" and then there was no looking back for the actor.

Imran Khan

Imran Khan played young Aamir Khan in 1992-hit "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander". Several moons later, the actor made his debut in the blockbuster movie "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na". Though, his recent films tanked at the box office, Imran is considered to be a fresh talent.
