Kavya Madhavan and Vijay Babu's upcoming Malayalam movie "AakashVani," which narrates the story of Aakash Das and Vani, is set to hit the theatres on Friday, Feb. 19. The movie is the directorial venture of debutant Khais Millen, who has earlier scripted and directed the Malayalam short film "Lipstick" in 2014.

Kavya's character, Vani, belongs to a well-to-do family and she works as the creative head of a women's TV channel. The ego clashes that affect the family life of Vani and Aakash due to their busy work life is being narrated through the movie. The movie also has Saiju Govinda Kurup, Lalu Alex, Sreejith Ravi, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Vineeth Mohan and Sandra Thomas in significant roles.

While Vinod and Vinod have scripted the movie, Anil Gopalan has composed the music and Rahul Subrahmanian has done the background score. The cinematography is handled by Indrajith. The movie, produced under the banner of Royal Splendour Creations by Pravin Arackal, will be locking horns with Vinay Forrt, Sanju Sivram, Bhavana and Miya starrer "Hello Namaste" at the Kerala box office on Friday.

Kavya Madhavan

Kavya has proved herself as one of the most talented actresses of the Malayalam entertainment industry in an acting career spanning 25 years. The actress enjoys a huge fan following in Kerala, even though she had stayed away from movies for a while. Many fans have been eagerly waiting to see her comeback to movies with the upcoming film "AakashVani." Looking at the movie's trailer, audience can expect her in a never-seen-before avatar as a corporate lady, who works in a media house.

Vijay Babu

Vijay Babu can be considered as a lucky charm in Malayalam as most of the movies he has acted and produced have made good business at the box office, even if he appeared in supporting roles. This is the second time Vijay does the male lead role in a flick after "Nee-Na" and his acting in the Lal Jose directorial was well appreciated by critics and movie-goers. His performance in "Philips and the Monkey Pen" has also proved him a promising actor in the industry.

Theme of the Movie

"AakashVani" is a family entertainer about the couple Aakash and Vani. The makers had earlier revealed that the movie discusses on issues and ego clashes that most of the couples can relate to in their own life. The tag line of the movie is also interesting as it says that "Aakashvani" is "a story seen by a mosquito."

Khais Millen

"AakashVani" is the debut feature film of Khais Millen, who had directed the Malayalam short film "Lipstick," which bagged many international awards in 2014. The short film on the bold subject – sexuality – became India's first short film to be dubbed into other languages like Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. It narrates the story of Shyam, who was sexually abused at the age of eight. The positive response the short film garnered has already proved Khais as a promising director.

Songs

The promo song "Mayum Sandhye," sung by actress Remya Nambeesan and Arun Alaat has already become popular among music lovers. The romantic song "Doorangal" by Vineeth Sreenivasan has also topped the chart list within days of its release. Kavya has also penned the lyrics for a song, which is composed by Sri Sankar and is sung by Marathi singer Abhay Jodhpurkar and Anna Katharina Valayil.
