Meerut, Feb 02 (ANI): In a shocking incident in Meerut city, 91 children absconded from a Bal Sudhar Grah (Children Reformation Home) during wee hours on Monday morning. The children made a cloth-rope and jumped over the jail's kitchen wall, the rear side of the premises, at around 3 AM which according to the District Police Officer (DPO) Yatendra Singh, was not being guarded by any police official since the wall was quite high. At present, 185 children were in jail, of which 56 had been shifted to Bulandshahr city and some more were about to be shifted in Ghaziabad. Superintendent of Police (City) Om Prakash Singh added that the police are yet to investigate whether it was a case of negligence.
