Indian auto market may be going through a lull period with most car manufacturers witnessing a slowdown in sales but October will see as many as six new cars hitting Indian roads, as car makers are optimistic that this festive season to boost their business.

New cars like Nissan Terrano, New Range Rover Sport, Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Vento GT TSI, BMW 5-series facelift and Toyota Innova facelift are expected to hit the roads this month.

Nissan Terrano: The much-anticipated compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Nissan Terrano is expected to be launched in India on 9 October. To be available in seven variants and six colours, the new SUV from Nissan will take on Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. It is reported that the car will be priced around ₹8.39 lakh though no official announcement has been made on the pricing.

BMW 5-Series Facelift: The luxury car will be launched in India on 10 October, months after it was launched in international market. The facelift comes with many changes, including headlamps, storage spaces, improved fuel consumption and alloy wheels. The company has not revealed the price of the car.

Skoda Octavia: Czech car company launched its popular brand Skoda Octavia in India on 3 October. It will be available in seven variants with three engine options. It will be priced between ₹13,95,000 - ₹1,945,000 (ex-showroom New Delhi).

Toyota Innova Facelift: It is reported that Toyota is expected to launch Innova facelift on 9 October though no official announcement has been made. It will come with a 2.5-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre petrol engine options. It will have five variants with G trim to cost around ₹11.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), and Z trim ₹15.66 lakh.

Volkswagen Vento GT TSI: The German car maker is expected to launch Vento GT TSI this festive season. It was earlier speculated that it would be launched on 3 October but that didn't happen. The 1.2 turbo petrol engine seen in Polo GT TSI has powered Vento GT TSI. The company is yet to reveal the price of the car.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport: The all-new Range Rover Sport is expected to be launched in India this month. According to Car Wale, Land Rover Range Rover Sport will come in three variants - 5.0 V8, 3.0 TDV6 HSE Diesel and 5.0 V8 Supercharged, which will be priced between ₹ 81.50 lakh  and ₹ 1.29 crore (ex-showroom price New Delhi).
