So do you want to earn fame and money overnight just by posting online an interesting video? Yes, it is possible. That's why many people have taken up vlogging seriously and are earning big by uploading their videos, including pranks and real shots. Here are five simple ways in which you can make viral videos:

1) Emotion: Anything that brings happiness, contentment and other positive emotions has great chance of going viral. Of course, content that evokes anger, sadness, anxiety and other negative feelings too can go viral but it certainly has a lesser chance of getting popular, and may invite backlash from the audience through comments.

The fact is that everybody wants to be happy, and most people experience it from seeing joy in others. This is why videos on give-back, animal rescue, surprise visit, flash mobs, etc. go viral. Such videos not only bring smiles to the viewers' faces but are also sharable on social media.

2) Animals: Most people love pets, and this is why any funny videos of them will find viewers. For instance, video of a cat pulling the toilet paper, pressing the piano, sleeping in an awkward position, using the toilet, etc. get viral. The same applies to dogs and other animals, provided the videos are entertaining.

3) Babies: Everybody loves babies. So when a baby gets on his or her feet and dances, everybody notices. The "Apparently Kid," who made it to The Ellen DeGeneres Show after being spotted on television with a cool rhetoric is a perfect example of baby videos going viral.

4) Laughter: Who doesn't want to laugh out loud? So anything that's funny sells, more so in today's world that is filled with stress and hardships. There are many vloggers who do pranks and other crazy things for YouTube. People subscribe to their channels because they are funny. However, many random funny acts, including spontaneous reactions and candid shots, have gone viral, which means anything that's interesting works.

5) Adventure: Watching videos of cliff jumping, skydiving, skyscraper climbing, etc. can scare the hell out of most people. People are likely to feel the chills running down their spine while watching such videos, and it is breath-taking stunts that draw in the viewers. But that's not all. Simple raw adventurous videos of mountain climbing, camping in the deep forest, etc. are interesting and challenging as well.

It is not that easy to make a video go viral but it isn't rocket science either. There are several people from around the world who are making all sorts of videos, including social experiments and pranks, but simple videos from ordinary people keep popping every know and then and go viral. Yes, content is king.
